Amber and Andrew are one of our special bridal couples who have supported us throughout the years. We photographed their wedding almost 5 years ago, and have watched their family grow ever since. Their kids' birthdays are only two days apart, so they have been busy with toy shopping, party planning, and celebrating! Big brother, Liam, just turned 3 years old, and baby sister, Avery, is celebrating her 1st birthday today! We ventured out to Buhl Park in Hermitage, PA for some birthday fun with the family. The memorial gardens are my favorite little hideaway. The pond and ducks kept Liam entertained, and the flowers and trees are magical! Since it was Avery's big first birthday, she was the princess of the day, but we got some fun memories of her big brother, too!
Avery was in a bit of a serious mood that evening, but she loves her daddy, and it's obvious that her daddy loves and adores his little girl!
I just can't stop with these crying pictures! If you are ever worried that your young child cries during a photo session, you are not alone. We have a blast with the kids, but sometimes 1-year-olds act like 1-year-olds, and they will only be this young once!
Avery knows how to turn a frown upside down! I love her pink and gold polkadot romper with that matching hair bow! Her momma always does a great job making her picture perfect! She wasn't so sure she wanted to hold the "O" letter up for us the whole time, but the "ONE" pink and gold letters were too cute!
She is a brown-eyed beauty! I love that little twinkle in her eyes when she smiles!
Amber brought along this gold framed mirror, which provided some entertainment for this busy 1-year-old girl. She was so pretty in this outfit, too! The white lace design on her light pink romper is so sweet and delicate.
While Avery modeled for her pictures, Liam was busy chasing ducks and adventuring near the pond. When I captured this moment, he was yelling, "Jen! Look at the duck!" I get a little attached to the sweet kids I work with, especially when they remember me at each session and start calling me by name!
How cute is this personalized plush elephant?! It's hard to believe how much Avery has grown this year!
Liam was excited to use the gold picture frame his mom brought along. We encouraged him to sit with his baby sister, but he was happy to be the star of this one!
Just as the sun was beginning to set, Avery was ready for her smash cake! Those are some impressive birthday balloons! I think I might have Amber plan my next party. She always finds the cutest decorations!
Happy 3rd birthday to Liam, and happy 1st birthday to Avery! I hope your parents let you eat lots of cake this week! We can't wait to see what joys this year brings for your family!
