We were honored to celebrate two beautiful weddings with the Biagetti family this year! We photographed Nicole's garden wedding over the summer, and couldn't wait for her sister's wedding, too. Rachel and Cody's classic Stambaugh Auditorium wedding was nothing short of glamorous. I'm still amazed that these two beautiful sisters both got married in Youngstown just months apart from each other, and managed to have such gorgeous but unique weddings. They both did a wonderful job expressing their personalities with each detail of their big days, with different styles in venues, bridal gowns, florals, ceremony music, and bridal portraits. Since we built a relationship with Rachel and Cody through their Mill Creek Park engagement session last fall and their recent family wedding, our role in documenting their own wedding day was that much sweeter.
I started the wedding morning with Rachel and her bridesmaids at her friend's home. Rachel's girls made her a scrapbook full of meaningful photos and handwritten letters, so Rachel and her maid and matron of honor paused from a busy morning to sip mimosas and reminisce about their friendship through the years.
The exchange of gifts and love letters between a bride and groom is always one of my favorite moments of wedding mornings.
I may have gone overboard with the detail shots, but I am a sucker for pretty things! Between Rachel's sparkling gold shoes, the Jimmy Choo perfume bottle, shimmering gold jewelry, and the luxurious faux fur shoulder wrap, I might have been a little caught up in all the extravagance!
While I was in a trance of all things sparkly and beautiful with the ladies, Joel documented Cody's last moments as a bachelor with his best friends as they got ready at Stambaugh Auditorium. After a quick morning of preparation for the guys, Cody was a stunning groom in his classic black tux.
Rachel's father waited anxiously to see his little girl walk off the elevator as a beautiful bride before the ceremony began. I adore the relationship Mr. Biagetti has with his daughters.
Christman Hall in Stambaugh Auditorium is one of the most beautiful ceremony spaces in the Youngstown area. Natural light spills into the large windows to highlight the ornate details throughout the room, making the perfect backdrop for a timeless and elegant wedding ceremony. Rachel was a breathtaking bride as she walked down the aisle, as you can see from the look on her groom's face.
The red wine and gold champagne bridesmaid gowns and accents look like they were made for this building!
Their wedding was on one of the first cold November days, but the bridal party braved the weather for a quick trip to Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park. The colorful Lake Glacier backdrop is at it's peak during our chilly NE Ohio fall season.
After a brief park visit, the newlyweds stopped by Lanai Lounge in Boardman to warm up. They told us the story about how they first met there. The story began as Cody sent a drink to Rachel during her night out with her friend, and the rest is history!
When we walked into this reception space, I was blown away. In addition to the formal place settings and centerpieces we expect to see, everything had a magical glow! The Embassy, Green's Floral, and Damon with D and R Audio took care of every detail to exceed our expectations! The evening was a joyful celebration of love!
I was reminded of the immeasurable value of photographs of loved ones. Just a couple weeks after the wedding day, this sweet woman and grandmother, Phyllis Biagetti, lived her last day on earth. I was thankful that I was able to capture precious memories of her throughout the day, which are now more valuable to her family than ever. Hold your loved ones close today, and never miss an opportunity to make memories with them.
We loved being a special part of Cody and Rachel's wedding day. I'm sad that there are no more Biagetti sisters to get married since we had a good thing going with this amazing family, but I'm thankful for the memories we've made for them and with them! Mr. and Mrs. Vocature, thank you for choosing us to document all these priceless memories for you to treasure! We look forward to seeing your journey as husband and wife through the coming years!
